TIPS FOR BETTER ACCURACY:
1. Hold the smartphone still as much as possible.
2. Scan one row of numbers at a time.
3. Fit the row exactly within the box.
4. Hold the camera perpendicular to the surface of the ticket.
5. Avoid light glares.
6. Clean your camera lens.
👉 Before writing a negative review please try to report an issue within the app. Most of the people who do, realize that they're not scanning a supported lottery ticket, they're scanning the barcode instead of the numbers, their camera quality is low or they're not following the instructions properly. Under the right conditions, LTC has over 95% accuracy.

So far so good. I scanned 2 tickets so far, one Powerball and one Mega Millions. App correctly informed me that the date of drawing for the Mega Millions had not come up yet. It also correctly scanned my numbers on the Powerball and informed me I was not a winner. I will of course double check this at the store and will continue to do so until I am 100% sure of accuracy but it is working as advertised at this point. The ads are very irritating as always but the paid version is only $2.99 a year and since I buy 1 lotto ticket per week it would save me approximately 52 trips a year to the store (no I'm not looking for other ways to avoid the trip, the $2.99 way will work best for me) so that seems like a no brainer once I am confident with the accuracy. I am never the type to think people owe me anything for free, just want to make sure it continues to work correctly and then I will upgrade. I will also update my review at that time.

OCR seems pretty accurate, though you should always double check your numbers against what was scanned in. This app can save you a lot of time. The ads aren't too anoying if you're only checking one or two tickets. If you do get a "OCR Failed" error it may be because the ticket is older than the data that is available on the Official lottery website.

For what is needed this app does a nice job of scanning the tickets and letting you know if you forgot to scan the date or something. It captured all five rows accurately. But we downloaded the app to get caught up on old tickets. It's the end of July, and April tickets are too old to scan. Nothing on the Play site indicates what is too old and I couldn't find it in the app either. Thank you.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your download and feedback. LTC keeps only the last 60 results (i.e. the last ~7 months for Mega Millions and the last ~3.5 months for Poweball tickets.) If your ticket is older than that, you need to consult the corresponding official lottery website for all the historical results.
